6th January 2021Hull: Kickstart employment scheme
The Kickstart Scheme is helping young people at risk of long term unemployment get into the job market by providing government funding for employers to create six-month job placements.
The Kickstart Scheme provides funding to create new job placements for 16 to 24 year olds on Universal Credit who are at risk of long term unemployment.
Employers of all sizes can apply for funding.
Please see the latest information on the Governments Kickstart scheme for young people here
The gov.uk Kickstart webpages have also been updated and provide tips on making a good application.
The early applications have taken much longer than anticipated to work through but they would like to assure you that they have worked through backlogs and streamlined processes.
They also now have colleagues in the local area working full time on Kickstart, including supporting organisations and employers through the application process and the next steps.
The local team would be happy for you to approach them with any queries, requests for information or support. Kickstart would really like to have as many placements in Hull and the surrounding area as possible, to support young people into work in these extremely challenging times.
