Officers were called to an address on King Edward Street on Monday 30 May following reports that cannabis plants were being loaded into a vehicle.
Officers were immediately deployed and after a search of the area, entry was gained to a locked premises where the officers could smell cannabis. Once inside a large cannabis grow was found.
Those loading the vehicle had already left the scene and police are now following up on lines of enquiry to identify them.
A scene guard remains in place as authorities dismantle the plants and growing equipment and continue to investigate the incident.
