Hull: Man assaulted during robbery

At 4.30am on 7 May a 28 year-old man was assaulted during an attempted robbery on Field Street, off Holderness Road in Hull.

The victim returned home from work in a taxi and was walking on Field Street when he was a approached by a man, described as white, 6 feet tall of stocky build with a shaved head. The suspect was wearing a white and patterned short-sleeved t-shirt, light coloured jeans and beige trainers.

It is reported that the suspect tried to grab a mobile phone from the victim, punching him in the face. The victim fought back and struck the suspect in the face causing him to run away in the direction of Abbey Street.
