A 32-year-old man has been charged following an incident where a man took to a roof on Holderness Road earlier this week.
Daniel Mennell, of College Grove, Hull has been charged with commercial burglary and causing a public nuisance.
Eagle eyed officers spotted a man on a roof above a shop on Holderness Road just before 3am on Monday, 12 October, and discovered that entry to the shop had been forced with a number of items reportedly missing. Following the discovery, a rooftop standoff caused significant road disruption for almost 15 hours with specialist resources deployed.
Mennell was remanded into custody following an appearance in Hull Magistrates Court yesterday, Tuesday 13 October.
