Thirty-year-old Jamie Plaxton of no fixed abode has been charged with four separate offences in connection with two incidents in Hull.
In the first incident a woman in her twenties was allegedly assaulted while out running on William Wright Dock on Tuesday 26 February around 3pm.
The suspect ran off after being disturbed by a member of the public. Officers quickly attended and found him inside the nearby Lord Line building and arrested him.
The woman ran off. She was shaken but not badly hurt. Officers have been supporting her.
Police have also charged Jamie Plaxton with an unconnected robbery which happened around 10.15pm on Neptune Street, Hull on Monday 25 February.
On that occasion a man was allegedly assaulted and a tobacco tin and drugs paraphernalia were stolen.
Jamie Plaxton is due to appear at Hull Magistrates Court today Thursday 28 February.
He is charged with committing an offence with the intention of committing a relevant sexual offence, attempted kidnap, robbery, and failing to comply with the sex offenders register.
