13th December 2024Hull Member’s Survey – Post-Budget Survey 2024
Following the Autumn Budget 2024, Forum would like to ask you some specific questions concerning the impact of these proposals on your group or organisation.
In particular there is a proposed increase in employer National Insurance Contributions (NICs), the National Living Wage and the Real Living Wage.
Your responses will be anonymous but will help them capture the challenges Hull VCSE are facing. The results of this survey will also support us to campaign to allow the sector to be exempt from the increases and to raise this issue with our public sector partners.
If you would like this survey in an alternative format, including a printed copy, please email news@forumcio.org.uk.
*Outlined in the budget is the government’s decision to:
- Raise the National Living Wage to £12.21 an hour,
- Increase the Real Living Wage to £12.60 per hour
- Increase employer National Insurance contributions to 15% on salaries above £5k, instead of 13.8% on salaries above £9.1k currently.
These changes pose major challenges for our sector, with an estimated additional cost (nationally) of £1.4 billion that will affect VCSE organisations at a time when funding pressures are already high.
Deadline for Completion of this survey is: 12noon, 20th December 2024
