East Riding Development Worker

Various permanent contracts (from 22 hours per week) based in Hull and the East Riding £8.00 per hour (£8.21 from 01 April)
Community Support Worker (22 hours) to support people (mainly adults) with mental health difficulties across the East Riding, either in the community or their own homes.
The post holder will work with individuals to improve or maintain their wellbeing, overcome barriers and maximise their independence. The work will generally be carried out between the hours of 9am to 5pm but some evening and weekend working may be required.
Applicants must have a full current driving licence access to their own transport for work purposes and be prepared to travel across the East Riding
Young Person’s (age 16-21) supported accommodation based in Hull Community Support Workers
Working with the young people in residence.
The post holders will support resident and community-led activities and help to ensure the accommodation is safe and secure. This is a 24/7 service and hours will be worked as part of a rota to cover 8 hour shifts: 7am-3pm and 3-11pm.
Night Wardens to provide an overnight presence for the young people and ensure the building remains safe and secure. The post holder will be the first point of contact for residents and carry out caretaking, maintenance and housekeeping work. Hours of work will be as part of a shift rota covering 11pm-7am shifts, 7 days per week.
These are all ideal roles to build on mental health knowledge and experience. You will, however, need to have some understanding of common mental health and social issues to enable you to effectively support people who use our services.
You should also be enthusiastic, a good communicator and IT competent.
