Hull: Phones stolen in clubs – Warning to night-clubbers

Humberside Police are warning people to be aware of thieves stealing mobile phones in Hull night clubs and have had nine reports of thefts of phones, often iPhones, being taken from handbags and pockets in January alone. Police also had 13 cases reported to us in the three months before Christmas.

The clubs affected are Atik, Mission and Propaganda. There may be other victims who have not reported it to us, if you have been in these clubs recently and have had your phone stolen or lost, we would like to hear from you.

Anyone who knows who is responsible for the thefts and may have been trying sell them on or if you have been offered one of these phones please call us on 101 quoting reference 16/17720/18

Handling stolen goods is a crime. Knowingly buying stolen goods is an offence. If you know anyone who is buying or selling stolen goods, call Humberside Police on 101. Alternatively call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, you won’t be asked your name and you could receive a cash reward.
