A 15-year-old boy has been charged with three counts of burglary on the same day, including one during which war medals were stolen from a house in Hull.
The boy was charged with the offences which took place on Tuesday 4 December on Etherington Road, Welwyn Park Avenue, and Wheelhouse Court in the city.
The burglaries involved the theft of a handbag, cheque books, jewellery, a games console, and car keys as well as the medals. The keys have been linked to theft of a high performance sports car.
The medals which include an MBE and a long service medal were recovered. Their owner has been told, and they are being returned to them.
The boy who is from Hull has already appeared at Hull Youth Court.
