10th February 2023Hull: Spate of attempted burglaries in the Ings and Sutton areas
Yesterday Police had reports of several attempted burglaries in the Ings and Sutton area of Hull.
Residents reported that a group of youths had been trying doors in the area.
The Neighbourhood Inspector Jo Harvey said: “We are doing everything we can to identify those responsible and I would ask that if anyone in this area has CCTV or video doorbells to check their footage between 2 and 5am on Tuesday 7 February.
“I would also remind people to make sure they make sure they lock their doors and windows at all times and report anyone seen acting suspiciously.
“Taking these simple security measures can help prevent opportunist thieves from getting into your home.
“If you have any footage or information that would help with our enquiries please call us on our non-emergency 101 number, quoting log 80 of 7 February 2023.”
