The Hull Food Partnership (opens in a new link) is part of the UK Sustainable Food City (SFC) network (see http://sustainablefoodcities.org/) and works closely with and is hosted by the urban city farm Rooted in Hull.
Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role
- lead, develop and promote the delivery and promotion of the city-wide Hull Food Partnership and contribute to its’ long-term sustainability
- build and consolidate on the work in the bronze award document highlighting the gaps in knowledge, skills and delivery working towards the SFC silver awards standard
- promote and support the local Veg Cities campaign
- facilitate, broaden and co-ordinate the effective functioning and governance of the Hull Food Partnership group maintaining and enhancing contacts in a professional manner
- working closely with Rooted in Hull, monitor and track all project budgets & petty cash providing financial information to the Steering group monthly meeting
- increase and enhance take-up of the Hull Food Charter with the continuing promotion, visibility and understanding of the Hull Food Partnership across the city working closely with Rooted in Hull using a wide range of communication media such as press, radio, TV, social media, billboards promotional material
- identify key areas currently underdeveloped for future work and collaborate on solutions in the context of the Action Plan
- effectively administer and support the bigger network and create value through involvement in the Food Charter
- represent the HFP at meetings relevant to the progression of the SFC key issues both locally and nationally
