This is a one-day event is a celebration of sustainability and is free to attend. There will be stalls, speakers and workshops and everyone is invited to attend. There will be live music, kid’s activities and pizzas cooked on-site in the cob oven.
Confirmed so far are workshops on ‘Fermented food’, ‘Making Rocket Stoves’ and ‘Bring your broken tools to be repaired’, plus talks on Permaculture, tours of the allotment including the roundhouse under construction, and a stall where staff from Lush will run ‘Make your own toiletries’. There will also be an interactive exploration of how the ideas of transition and permaculture can be used within the local area.
They are also hoping to have ‘Willow weaving’, ‘Making bug hotels’ and a variety of stalls where local organisations can talk to people about what they do.
