Two boys have been arrested following reports that two 12-year-old boys were assaulted by a group of teenagers on the Princess Elizabeth Playing Fields on Saturday, 18 July.
The incident is reported to have happened at around 7.30pm when a group of teenagers gathered before reportedly assaulting the boys.
Both boys were taken to hospital following the incident for treatment to number of injuries, which are thought to be minor at this time.
An investigation has been launched as part of which a 12-year-old boy, a 14-year-old boy have been arrested, both remain in police custody at this time whilst enquiries continue. A third boy is also assisting with enquiries.
Humberside Police have extra officers conducting high visibility patrols in the area, and they encourage anyone with concerns to speak to them.
