Hull: Two youths aged thirteen and fourteen arrested following burglary in Hull

Two youths are in custody following a burglary at a property in Hull.

Police received a call shortly after 9pm yesterday, Thursday 19 March, reporting that a car had been set alight on Leitholme Close, Hull causing significant damage to the vehicle. It since transpired that this vehicle had been taken during a burglary of a property on Brixton Close, Hull earlier that evening.

Within minutes of receiving the call two youths aged 13 and 14 were found and arrested at a nearby takeaway. The 13-year-old was arrested on suspicion of burglary, arson and theft of a motor vehicle. The 14-year old was arrested on suspicion of burglary and arson.

Both remain in our custody while enquiries continue.
