Humberside Police are recruiting

Police officer recruitment begins again on Wednesday 7 February, when you can apply for a rewarding career where you can make a real difference.

Applications to become a police officer will be open for one week, closing on Sunday 11 February.

Who they need

Humberside Police is changing and they have ambitious plans and a bright future. They need people with a passion to serve the public and for putting people first to help them make these plans a reality.

Are you a leader and a problem solver? Do you have courage, empathy and determination?  Are you able to keep calm in stressful situations?  Do you have a good level of fitness? Are you tech-savvy?

If so, they want you to join them targeting criminals and protecting people and the lives of those who live, work and visit our communities. Join them to make a real difference, every day.

Positive Action

The recruitment and selection process is entirely based upon merit and those individuals who perform most strongly in selection are the ones who are offered positions working with them.

At Humberside Police, they work hard to make the communities safer and improve public confidence and satisfaction by increasing the visibility and availability of their officers and staff.

They know that the most effective police service is one that can be adjusted to help anyone, whatever their age, gender, ethnicity, level of ability, sexual orientation, gender identity, faith, relationship or parental status. A diverse workforce enables them to better connect with, understand and meet the varying needs of all the people they serve. They understand the importance and value of diversity and would like to increase the presence of diverse characteristics in their officers.

To help you decide if this is the career for you, useful information is available on their website, with frequently asked questions and guidance notes.
