17th January 2020Humberside: Would you pay more for your Fire and Rescue Service?
Humberside Fire & Rescue Service are consulting all council tax payers about increasing the amount they charge to support the delivery of their services. They are asking if people would be prepared to pay between 9p extra per month (Band A property) to a maximum of 28p extra (Band H).
The increase would raise an additional £450k per year. If they don’t increase the council tax precept they will have to make further reductions to the services that are already provided.
The consultation options are a simple choice between agreeing to support an increase, or not.
Information about the options and the online consultation survey are available, click here.
Consultation runs from 12noon 13th January to 12noon 27th January 2020.
