The Making Changes for Careers programme is an exciting enterprise programme aimed at young people aged 16-29 who are not in employment, education or training who would like to start their own business.
The programme gives young people the opportunity to find out more about the ‘Big 13’ Enterprise Skills, as well as having the chance to access grants from the John Cracknell Youth Enterprise Bank in order to develop their business ideas.
Young people will also have the opportunity to access an experienced business mentor who will be on hand to offer expert advice and guidance.
The programme has a focus on developing a young person’s skills for those who would like to set up their own business or are seeking employment, apprenticeships, further education or training. There is an experienced team, who provide training and one to one advice and support. During the current Covid-19 pandemic, the team has been working hard to develop new ways of working, including video conferencing and phone calls whilst working from home.
They also have volunteer bank of mentors, who are on hand to support young people whilst on programme with everything from employment advice, business advice or if the young person just needs a casual chat.
