Man arrested after attempted robbery in Beverley

On Saturday 21 August, a 46-year-old man was arrested in South Yorkshire and has since been charged with theft following an incident in the East Riding of Yorkshire on Wednesday 11 August.

It was reported that a man had robbed an elderly man of his wallet in a car park off Butcher Row in Beverley’s town centre.

The 46-year-old man is due to attend Doncaster Magistrates Court today (Monday 23 August).
