Man arrested at airport after more than £100,000 worth of metal stolen
A 33-year-old man was arrested at John Lennon Airport in Liverpool by officers yesterday in connection with a number of burglaries during which a total of more than £100,000 worth of metal was stolen.
The man who is from Blackburn was subsequently charged with five counts of burglary dating back to August 2019.
Three of the incidents were at the same business premises in Humberston on 16 and 24 September, and 20 October. One was at a business on Raven Street in Hull on 21 August, and at a business in Haslingden in Lancashire on 17 October.
Zabar Ciuraru, 33, from Hancock Street in Blackburn is due to appear before Grimsby Magistrates Court on Thursday 12 December.
