Man charged following a string of burglaries in Hull

A man has been charged following reports of a string of offences occurring in the Garden Village area of Hull on Sunday, 11 May.

George Atkinson, 31, of Colenso Street, Hull, has been charged with; three counts of attempted burglary, two counts of theft from a motor vehicle, two counts of theft of a pedal cycle, two counts of fraud by false representation, two counts of possession of a controlled drug, burglary, vehicle interference and a public order offence.

He was remanded into custody and is due to appear at Hull Magistrates court this morning on Tuesday, 13 May.

On Sunday, 11 May police received multiple reports of a man attempting to gain entry to addresses in the Garden Village area.

Later, they received a further report of a man using a stolen bank card in the local area.
