A 21-year-old man has been charged following an assault on Vane Street in Hull on Monday 12 June.
Lance Kinsley, aged 21 of Spring Bank has been charged with grievous bodily harm and assault by beating and remanded into custody to appear at Hull Magistrates Court on Thursday 15 June.
Police were called at around 7.45pm to reports that two men had been assaulted in the park on Vane Street.
A 53-year-old man sustained a life-threatening head injury and remains in hospital at this time.
Humberside Police continue to appeal for anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident, or anyone who has CCTV or dashcam footage, to contact them on 101, quoting log 564 of 12 June.
