More drugs and cash seized following Hull drugs warrant

Hundreds of pounds worth of drugs have been seized by police officers from an address in Hull.

Officers carried out a warrant under section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act at an address on 31st Avenue, where an amount of class B drugs were found along with around £1500 in cash.

Drugs paraphernalia including scales were found. An assortment of drugs including amphetamines and cannabis resin were seized.

A man and woman were arrested on suspicion of drugs offences and money laundering. Both have been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.

Inspector Paul Bennett said: “Yet again my officers have stopped a supply of drugs from making it into our communities thanks to the intelligence we have gathered and information that has been passed on to us.

“When officers execute warrants, we’re not only looking to seize massive amounts of drugs and cash. What we have to remember is that regardless of the type or amount of illegal drugs we seize, warrants can seriously disrupt drugs activity.

“There are usually associated crimes surrounding drugs. These crimes can be anything from robbery, money laundering, theft, violent crimes, county lines, child exploitation, and larger scale organised crime.

“We are letting those individuals involved in drugs crimes know that we are there and looking at the bigger picture as well as lower level drug dealing.
