National Lottery Community Fund: The Climate Action Fund

Application to open in Autumn 2019

The Climate Action Fund will support communities in the UK to take local action on climate change. These communities will stand as beacons of what is possible when people take the lead on climate change.

A total amount of the fund is £100 million.

They will support community-led, local partnerships that will drive change not only within but also beyond their community, to:

• Reduce their carbon footprint sustainably
• Increase participation in community-led climate action.

They’re expect to give between 10 and 15 awards to begin with. Learning from the first awards will feed into further funding rounds, which they will announce later.
