New provider for Healthwatch contract for Hull

North Bank Forum has been awarded the contract to deliver Healthwatch Kingston upon Hull.

Healthwatch is a statutory service commissioned by Hull City Council to act as the consumer champion for local people in relation to local health and social care services.

Healthwatch was launched in 2013 by the Government, working locally to represent local opinion, and help and influence services in hospitals, dentists, GPs and pharmacists etc. In addition Healthwatch provides information, advice and guidance, signposting the public to the services they need.

NBF Chief Officer Jason Stamp says: “We’re delighted to have secured the Healthwatch work in Hull and will strengthen its role as the listening ear for the residents of the city. Healthwatch has an important function to provide a powerful voice for local people and will do this through partnership working and patient engagement across the city.”

NBF also manages Healthwatch North East Lincolnshire, based at Grimsby.

Healthwatch Kingston upon Hull will now operate from the Goodwin Community College building on Anlaby Road in Hull City Centre.
