NN member visit – Hessle Road Network

Last week the Neighbourhood Network Team caught up with Jo and her team at the Hessle Road Network.

Wow what a fantastic, friendly welcoming space. We attended a community drop in on Thursday moring from 10am – 12pm, where there was loads going on. Everyone was welcomed with refreshments and could enjoy these two hours at their own pace without any pressure to do any activities if they so wished.

The charity shop was open to enjoy, there was jewellery making to have a go at, there was a baby shower for one of the service users, there was a lovely group of knitters making toys to benefit dementia patients, a lovely garden full of produce, a Fishing Heritage Art Exhibition in St John the Baptist adjacent church – just lots of really good things going on!

Hessle Road Network have a great time table of activities – take a look and pop along, you’ll definitely be welcomed.
