Project Support Officer with Hull City Council

An exciting opportunity has arisen for 3 full time, permanent Project Support Officers who will be based in the Building Safety Team.   The main responsibilities of the role are:

• To support the project activity of the Building Safety Team and the Building Safety programmes.
• You will work closely with the Project Surveyors accompanying colleagues on site inspections and undertaking revisits where necessary to ensure compliance. This role will require some lone working in various locations across the city where you will follow the lone working procedure.
• Dealing with queries from key stakeholders (contractors, other council teams, customers) and take the correct action to resolve or pass the issue to the correct person in accordance with the applied policies, procedures, and practices.
• Provide daily support to colleagues within the team. Raising works, telephone interactions with customers, ability to provide written replies to customers, and organising the paying invoices.
• You will be responsible for the monitoring the generic building safety emails and phone calls.
• Monitor and follow up with colleagues any outstanding actions from fire risk assessments to ensure compliance.

The successful candidates must be able to empathise, deal with issues sensitively and appropriately and refer on to services when necessary.

There will be further development and training opportunities within these roles.

The roles will be based between office(s), home and other locations, and you can work flexibly within this according to the needs of the team, your role and the working day.
