Public Announcement of Special Case Misconduct Hearing – 4 December 2018

Message from Humberside Police:-

A police special case misconduct hearing has been schedule to take place on Tuesday, 4 December 2018 commencing at 1300 hours.

The officer concerned is PC 2321 Tyler-Jones.

It is alleged that his conduct amounted to a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour in respect of Discreditable Conduct contrary to Police (Conduct) Regulations 2012.  The allegation is that on 13 September 2018, the officer appeared at Grimsby Magistrates Court where he pleaded guilty to, and was subsequently convicted and sentenced for driving a motor vehicle after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in his breath, namely 87 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit. Further, he had with him without good reason or lawful authority, in a public place, a lock-knife.

The proceedings will take place at The Old Magistrates Court, Estcourt Terrace, Goole, DN14 5AF.

Anyone wishing to attend the hearing should pre-register by sending details of their name, address, email address and a contact number by Friday, 30 November 2018 to Professional Standards.

A notification will be sent to successful applicants by Monday, 3 December 2018.

Please note we cannot permit filming or recording of the proceedings, and attendees may be searched prior to entry to the hearing. They will also be asked to provide valid photographic identification such as a passport or driving licence.

There are limited parking spaces and refreshments will not be available other than beverages.   There are a range of shops within walking distance.  If you have any access or other requirements, please indicate this on your application. 

Other restrictions may apply at the discretion of the person chairing or conducting the misconduct hearing.
