19th September 2024Public Spaces Protection Order Consultation
The Community Safety Partnership wishes to consult with residents, local businesses, and visitors regarding proposed Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPO). A Public Spaces Protection Order is an order that identifies a public place and prohibits specified things being done in the restricted area. Once in place, a PSPO is in effect for no more than 3 years.
PSPO are used to tackle anti-social behaviour, like street drinking, begging and homelessness in public places. The aim is to deter people from this behaviour, which has a detrimental effect on people’s feelings of safety and on the vibrancy of the city.
Enforcement action will primarily focus on helping people to change behaviour and access support services.
Please tell Hull City Council how you feel about the Public Space Protection Orders they are proposing.
All of your answers are anonymous and will not be tied back to you.
