Raising the Issue – HENRY Workshop in Hull

Hull City Council Healthy Lifestyles Team are delivering their second HENRY ‘Raising the Issue’ workshop on March 13 @ 9:00 am4:00 pm.

The workshop will explore childhood obesity, how to raise the topic with families who have young children and increase understanding of how to refer in to your local HENRY programme to give children the best start in life.  Obesity in Hull affects over 25% of Year Reception age children, impacting upon psychological, physical and emotional health and increasing the likelihood of poorer health in later life.

A typical HENRY course for parents would cover topics such as parenting techniques, managing feelings and behaviour alongside portion sizes, mealtimes and physical activity.  This ‘Raising the Issue’ workshop will give practitioners a greater understanding of what parents can expect from engaging.
