Young people aged 10 – 18 can now sign up to be a part of Lifestyle 2017.
Lifestyle is Humberside Polices youth engagement project that encourages young people to spend their summer holidays with friends making a difference in their community.
Since 1989, tens of thousands of young people have been coming up with new challenges and projects to benefit their community. Whether it’s hosting a bake sale to raise money for charity or cleaning up a public place, there are all sorts of different things that you can do.
There are a host of fantastic prizes on offer for the most innovative and successful projects undertaken. These include a week in South Africa, a trip to Disneyland Paris, UK adventure holidays, days out at Flamingoland and Tockwith Racecourse and many more.
Verbena, of last year’s senior Lifestyle winning team Hi5, said: “I would encourage you to do Lifestyle because it’s something fun and enjoyable that you can do with all your friends over the summer.”
Rachel Palmer, BP Chemicals communications manager, said: “As we celebrate our 50th anniversary in Hull, it is with great pride that BP returns as the principal sponsor of Lifestyle 2017. As a supporter of the project for over 25 years, we believe that the life skills and confidence Lifestyle teaches young people not only benefits their local communities, but will help them achieve their personal and professional goals in the future.”
Look out for PCSO’s who will be visiting schols across the Humberside Police area to share information about Lifestyle 2017.
