Hull City Council are holding an event, taking place at the University of Hull from 9am – 2pm on Thursday 28th September 2023. The event will be showcasing how the Family Hubs and Start for Life journey has developed for the City of Hull to date!
Aims of the Event:
- to provide a platform for staff across the Early Help partnership to connect and engage around supporting families across the first 1001 days and beyond.
- to provide information, support, and guidance, focused on all areas of the programme and what this means for professionals and families locally.
- to share information on the how the offer has been published and ongoing website development.
- to facilitate discussions around improved ways of joint working across services to better support children, young people, and families
- to look at co working across the teams and provide opportunities for everyone to suggest future areas of service development.
- to share and highlight areas of good practice using local case studies and how the local offer, links with the national picture.
Brief overview of Programme:
Welcome and Introductions from Rachel Roberts – Hull City Council, Strategic Lead for Early Help and Prevention
- Workshops (choice of 2 of 5 to be selected during registration)
- Parent and Baby Bonding. Find out about how all services across the partnership are working to support parent infant relationships and parental and infant mental health during the first 1001 days and beyond.
- Infant Feeding Support across Hull. Understanding the full support available for families around infant feeding across the city, the pathways and Hull’s journey on the UNICEF Baby Friendly Accreditation process.
- Discover and Play at Home – Hull’s journey to delivering PEEP. Come and find out how PEEP’s Learning Together Programme supports families and prepares children for school.
- Hull’s Parenting Support Offer. Understanding the full offer across the age ranges and needs of families, from pregnancy through to primary school age.
- Parent Peer Support Offer across Hull. What is available, timetable of activities, how to refer in and what support parents/carers can expect to receive?
- Tabletop Discussion and Feedback. How do we all listen to Parent/Carer voices across the Partnership and what more can we do?
