7th August 2020Teenagers arrested following Cottingham burglary
Three teenagers have been arrested after a woman disturbed burglars stealing bikes from her garage.
Police were called to the property in Linden Avenue, Cottingham, at 10.25pm last night (Thursday, 6 August) after a woman heard noises and saw the light on in her garage.
She shouted and a group of teenagers allegedly left the garage before cycling away.
Two bikes were reportedly stolen in the burglary, one is a blue coloured tandem style bike and the other is a black and white coloured ladies’ bike.
Officers quickly attended to carry out a search of the area and three teenage boys were arrested nearby.
Two 15-year-old boys were arrested on suspicion of burglary, both remain in police custody whilst enquiries continue.
A 17-year-old boy was also arrested in the area on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply, he also remains in custody whilst enquiries continue.
