Two year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) issued to 12 year-old boy

A 12 year-old boy who has been found responsible for multiple shop thefts and anti-social behaviour incidents in the Marfleet Lane and Elmbridge Parade areas of Hull between November 2019 and January 2020, has been served with a two year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO).

Local Community Policing officer PC Tracy Parkinson said, “The Community Policing Team have been working hard to tackle the incidents of antisocial behaviour in this area of Hull.

“The young boy appeared in court on Tuesday facing 12 offenses of thefts from local shops which caused untold distress, inconvenience and loss to them.

“This should send a message to other young people who think that theft will not be dealt with by the shop keepers or the police.  We will always deal with this type of incident and look to try and direct young people away from offending.  It is no one’s interest to see this young boy become further involved in crime.”
