A man who was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a road traffic collision on the M62 near Goole on 3 April 2018 has sadly died.
The 37-year-old from Manchester was a passenger in a car involved in a collision with a HGV around 9.30am. The truck had gone through the central reservation into oncoming traffic.
The man’s family have requested that he not be named and to respect their privacy at this difficult time.
The car driver, 41-year-old Nigel Eley from Manchester, was pronounced dead at the scene. The 22-year-old truck driver sustained serious injuries but has since been discharged from hospital.
