Victim Support are holding a Criminal Justice Champion training session on Wednesday 15th September at 10am and they are inviting organisations and businesses across the region who are interested in offering this scheme to their teams, colleagues and volunteers to attend.
By becoming a champion, you can help inform people in your community of the support they are entitled to following a crime.
They will:
- Provide training on the work of Victim Support Humberside and South Yorkshire
- Look at how crime affects victims and communities
- Look at how you can provide initial support to someone disclosing they have been a victim of crime
- Explain how to make a referral to Victim Support
- Explore how Victim Support helps victims of crime.
The training lasts about 2 hours and is currently delivered virtually. After completing the training you will also receive their newsletters providing updates and developments in Victim Support.
