Enjoy a fraud free Christmas

As the festive season fast approaches and you start to tick off that Christmas shopping list ahead of the big day, and hopefully bag yourself a bargain in the black Friday and cyber-Monday sales, the Humberside Police Economic Crime Unit are encouraging residents to be vigilant.

In the three months leading up to Christmas last year, £85.9K was lost from online shopping fraud in Humberside – that’s an average of £511 per person!

Detective Sergeant Dan Brittain from their Economic Crime Unit said: “As part of #OpYuletide, we’re launching our 12 festive frauds in the lead up to the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales”.
