Humberside Police have received the results from a national police social media survey – which involved local social media users – and the results identified that the public across the force area wanted to see a clearer approach by the police on Twitter.
As a result there is now one team account for all pillars of policing (Neighbourhood, Response and investigation) in Hull rather than several separate accounts.
The Twitter account you should now follow is @HumberbeatHull
The Facebook account you should follow is https://www.facebook.com/HumberbeatHULL
The force have also enhanced the Neighbourhood Policing Ward Pages with more up to date information on local Community Safety Priorities, meetings and news. Click https://www.humberside.police.uk/all-policing-teams and click on your ward area to find the details of your local policing team or put your postcode into the search function.
Finally, you can also stay abreast of policing in your area by signing up to My Community Alert. It is a free messaging system operated by Humberside Police and Humberside Fire & Rescue Service, giving you live information about incidents happening in your area. Choose how you receive messages, by either phone or email, how often you want to hear from police and fire and about the issues that matter to you. Once signed up your local officer will send you the details you are interested in, whether that’s notice of a road closure due to a collision or a burglar who has been caught in a nearby garden.
