15th July 2021Partnership working day in the West Carr ward

This week the Neighbourhood Network team have been involved in a partnership initiative with Humberside Fire, Humberside Police, Hull City Council & the Waste Management Team, West Carr ward Councillors and Fortem.
As a team we knocked on 388 doors offering crime prevention advice, information on how to report fly-tipping, wheelie bin security helping to prevent arson and fire safe & well checks.
To reduce the risks of wheelie bin theft and arson please try and follow the below guidelines:
- Minimise the amount of rubbish left in and around your buildings
- Only put your bin out the night before your collection day or ideally on the morning of collection
- Bring them back in as soon as possible once emptied
- Store them away securely
- Consider using a wheelie bin lock or a chain to tether 2 bins together
If you have information of someone committing an arson offence you can report this anonymously to Humberside Fire & Rescue Services on 07940 737141.
You can also purchase crime prevention items from our online shop here https://www.nnetwork.org.uk/shop/
