Crime across Humberside decreases

The week commencing the 24/7, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) revealed that crime has continued to decrease as a whole across the Humberside area according to the latest recorded crime figures.

Deputy Chief Constable Dave Marshall said: “The figures released today highlight the continued hard work and significant efforts of our staff across all areas of policing.

“Over the course of the last 12-months Operation Shield has played a pivotal role in disrupting crime and taking criminals off of our streets, no matter the offence they have committed. We have left no stone unturned.

“Whilst disruption has been a key element of the operation, our Neighbourhood Policing teams have continued in their efforts to regenerate communities through the home office lead strategy ‘clear, hold, build’ across our local authority areas.
