When Humberside Fire and Rescue team are out and about, they often hear things like:
“I thought about testing it, but just never got round to it…” Or, “I know I should, but I just keep forgetting.”
The fact is a working smoke alarm can double your chances of surviving a fire. But just having one isn’t enough AND you need to test them regularly.
It only takes a second to press the button until the alarm sounds. Also, make sure to have one fitted on every level of your home.
