Easter Weekend Water Warning

Advice from Humberside Fire & Rescue:-

Easter weekend promises to be a warm one. Please take care around water if you’re out for a walk or out for a few drinks.

Drowning in this country is amongst the leading causes of accidental death. in 2017, 255 people drowned. Half of these victims were taking part in everyday activities near water such as walking, running, cycling and fishing. Around 85% of these fatalities were male.

Never leave your mate to walk home alone near water after a day drinking in the sunshine. Have a safe and enjoyable long weekend.
