This week the Humberside Police continue to share our mini-series of spotlight articles which show how their teams are involved in fighting organised crime across Humberside.
Today’s spotlight shines on Detective Inspector Matt Grantham from the Kinetic North Bank Organised Crime Group Team.
They asked Matt for a quick overview of his area, and he explained how he oversees three teams – this includes the Kinetic North Bank Organised Crime Group team, the North Bank Integrated Offender Management team and the Neighbourhood Crime Team who are based in the North Bank command.
Matt’s job is varied, but his role remains the same, as does that of his team – to disrupt and seek to convict offenders within organised crime groups.
On a day-to day basis Matt’s focus is to review what’s occurring and make plans on what can be done to disrupt criminality with his sergeants.
They review what proactive plans should be moving forward to target those offenders causing the most harm out in our neighbourhoods. Together they see what needs to be done, formulate the plans and implement them.
