9th August 2024Victim Support Affected by Crime (ABC)
Victim Support Affected by Crime (ABC) service is here to help anyone who has experienced crime at any time whether it has been reported or not.
They provide a non-judgemental service which is free and confidential and is independent.
It doesn’t matter when the crime happened, you can contact their ABC number on 0800 368 7586 and someone will be able to chat to you about the services provided.
It might be that you need help talking to other services, want to get access to websites and online help, get some advice about the situation or just want to chat with someone about what has happened. The ABC service is here to do that.
They also have some specialist services to deal with specific issues and these are;
Children and Young Person service
They can work directly with you as a young person or with parents or guardians, to help you recover from crime and guide you through the criminal justice process.
Stalking service
If you have been a victim of stalking from a neighbour, friend, colleague, acquaintance or someone else, they can talk to you about that, offer information, advice and support and help you to move forward.
Anti-social Behaviour (ASB) service
If you live in HU1 to HU9 postcode areas, their ASB service can help you think about your options, talk to you about reporting and what can be reported and support you.
All of the above services, and their ABC service can be contacted on 0800 368 7586 or online here.
In addition, they provide a service to anyone affected by the Legacy Funeral Director incident and can help to support you around any issues this has brought up. Their Legacy service can be contacted on 0808 28 111 36 24/7 and can speak to you about any general concerns or worries, about fraud or about any specific support needed around the investigation.
