17th November 2023Man arrested following two attempt robbery

A man is currently in police custody after they received reports of two attempt robberies in Hull on Tuesday 14 November.
Authorities were called at around 10.10pm to reports of a man knocking on a woman’s door on Great Thornton Street and threatening her with a knife whilst demanding money.
Shortly after at 10.45pm, on George Street, Hull it is believed a man then threatened a second woman with a knife whilst making threats for money.
He fled the scene in the direction of Savile Street, officers were quickly deployed, and a 40-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of two counts of robbery. He remains in custody whilst enquiries continue.
Thankfully both women were physically unharmed but understandably have been left shaken by the incident.
Police would appeal to anyone who has information, or has CCTV or dashcam footage that may assist with their enquiries to contact them on their non-emergency number 101 quoting log 581 of 15 November.
