Hull: Absolutely Cultured seek new Chair

Absolutely Cultured is looking to appoint a new Chair to lead their Board of Trustees and guide the organisation through its next exciting stage of development. This is a great opportunity to work with the team on developing their cross-artform programme and the key role that arts and culture will play in Hull’s COVID-19 recovery.

They are seeking an exceptional candidate with a proven and impressive track record of strategic leadership, a passion for arts and culture, be an astute business person, an effective communicator and advocate. The candidate should be able to mobilise a network of influencers at the highest levels and command respect amongst regional and national decision-makers in the public and private sectors.

The Chair will convene and chair Board meetings, enabling contributions from all Trustees, and drive forwards the new strategic business plan, working with the Senior Management Team and partners locally and nationally. They are also the direct line manager of the CEO & Artistic Director, and lead the Trustee appointments and development.

The appointment will be made initially for three years and board members are eligible for two consecutive terms of three years before retirement. In order to support inclusivity, a remuneration and expenses package will be offered with this post and will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.
