Hull: Two arrested on suspicion of drugs offences
23rd August 2022Festival at the Farm at East Hull Community Farm!
23rd August 2022The Friends of Pickering Park need your help!
The Friends of Pickering Park need your help and are looking for new volunteers to help improve the park.
The Friends of Pickering Park are a group of local residents who responded to a leaflet drop in the area from Hull City Council in 2007, asking for volunteers to set up a friends group to work with them to help improve the park, its amenities and organize events in the park for the benefit of the community.
Over the years our numbers have dwindled and they have found themselves on the brink of extinction. However, with too many years invested they are on the look out for new members.
This may be people that have ideas that they think will benefit the park, want like to help with the organisation of events or would just like to help out at event days – erecting gazebos or looking after a stall. The level of involvement is very much on your terms.
If you are interested in joining or finding out more, the next meeting is on Tuesday 6th September at 6:30pm, at Askew Avenue Methodist Church which is situated at the junction with Rawcliffe Road. There’s plenty of parking if you need it.
If you are unable to make the meeting but would still like to be involved then please contact them via the webpage www.friendsofpickeringpark.com or direct message on Facebook.
