Volunteer Advice Enhancement Workshops
There is a new training opportunity for volunteers being ran by Citizens Advice Bureau and Age UK HEY.
Would these volunteers benefit from enhancing their knowledge in some of the most common issues that people in our community’s face?
Do you have volunteers who often get asked questions about issues such as benefits, debt, housing etc?
Citizens Advice Hull & East Riding and Age UK Hull & East Yorkshire have partnered up to offer free one day workshops to volunteers of other charities and organisations to help enhance their advice knowledge.
The workshops will cover the following:
- Attendance Allowance
- Carers Allowance
- Pension Credit
- Personal Independence Payment
- Universal Credit
- Housing & Homelessness
- Debt
Workshop Aims:
- Better understanding of subject areas
- Recognising issues and potential entitlement
- Knowledge of where to find further information
- Where to signpost and refer
Workshop Dates
Wednesday 4th December 2024
Wednesday 22nd January 2025
Wednesday 26th February 2025
The workshops will run from 9:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

HU9 5HH
Attendees must be a volunteer and only need to attend one workshop, travel expenses within Hull & East Riding can be claimed with receipts/tickets, free parking available and refreshments and lunch will be provided.
