Volunteer help needed to support the community

Hull City Council have had an unprecedented number of calls from people who are currently struggling due to coronavirus  isolation.  People particularly need help with tasks like shopping, medicine collection, dog walking or befriending. 

They are urgently trying to organise volunteer support to help with these needs.  There are now three volunteer hubs across the city; North, East & West (inc the City centre) and are looking for volunteers to offer support in these areas of Hull.

Some key things to note:

• Volunteers can choose how much time they offer – there is no minimum requirement.
• A DBS check is not an absolute necessity. 
• Travel expenses can be paid.
