Hull: Man arrested after assault on Police Officers

Two officers were assaulted as they went to detained a 47 year old man on Fremantle Avenue, Hull, on Tuesday 8 December in connection to an reported burglary.  

Whilst attempting to detaining the man, it is reported that two officers were assaulted, although not seriously injured, one officer has been treated at hospital after being bitten by a suspected burglar.

The man remains in custody on suspicion of burglary and two counts of assaulting a police officer whilst we continue our enquiries.
