Hull: Scam Covid-19 spot check emails

This week we have been made aware of a bogus email that is circulating regarding Health & Safety Executive COVID-19 spot checks and inspections. Authorities are currently looking into the source and validity of this.

The spam email comes from a non HSE email address and the signatory is Mark J Burrows (this is not a member of HSE staff). Upon clicking the email the recipient is told to download guidelines in a document. This document would then contain malware which will then infect your device.

If you receive one of these emails, please do not open attachments or click on any links and delete the email. Please advise anyone that contacts you about this to do the same.
